Hello Everyone! Another busy yet fun week/weekend in the books for us. I’m sure many of you can relate! Of course, we were all busy sharing the love because it was Valentine’s day! Even with all of the hustle and bustle of the weekend, I managed to get our Valentine’s week/weekend incorporated into a Project Life spread. My Week 7 Project Life pages are officially complete. There is no better way to highlight happy heart times with my lovelies!
Grace has always loved making her own handmade Valentine’s and her classmates always look forward to what she comes up with each year. This girl goes all out and it’s one of the many things that I love about her. Her creative energy is mesmerizing. This year was no different. Working on her Valentine’s project was the highlight of my week, including a mom and daughter date night to purchase supplies.
This year she found a printable that she wanted to use as her Valentine. It was actually intended to be a teacher appreciation gift tag that we found on Positively Splendid but she liked the saying so it became her handmade Valentine. She also found a mini Valentine Word Find Puzzle that was super cute so we added that in to the mix. (BTW: these two sites rock with creativity for kids of all ages!) Super easy. Just click, print, write out her list, done, right? Well, not quite.
Like I said, this girl goes all out. So, in addition to her printable Valentine card, the Word Find Puzzle and some super cute chocolate coins that we found at World Market (love…this…store), she also made these intricate Origami mini paper stars (found on You Tube) that when unfolded said Happy Valentine’s Day on the inside. It was a Grace original and her friends thought it was pretty cool. She spent about three nights making these paper stars – cutting the paper strips, writing her message on each strip and then folding all of the strips into paper stars. She is definitely a stick-to-it kind of girl when it comes to things like this. Another thing I love about her!
Now, on to my Project Life 2015|Week 7 page spreads. For Week 7, I made the effort to photograph different aspects of our week, from the everyday to the big V day. I knew that I wanted to use more elements from my Love Notes Value Kit, so the creative process for this week’s pages was streamlined from the start. Having already envisioned what I wanted to use made the entire process flow and flow fast.
Love was definitely in the air this week and this kit was quite fitting for the occasion and my subjects. I love the creams, grays, sparkly reds and dingy pinks found throughout the Love Notes collection. It makes for a much softer feeling page. Indeed, Love Notes was the perfect companion to this week’s pages highlighting Nothin’ But Love!
